An inquirer’s class for new/potential members will begin August 26 at 12:30 p.m. and continue each Sunday thereafter until late November. Archbishop Haverland will make his annual visit to St. Stephen’s on December 2 during which the Sacrament of Confirmation and Rite of Reception (for new members) will be administered. The class will briefly cover Scripture, Church History, Sacramental Theology, Liturgy, and Moral issues. Please email or call Susan in the office to RSVP. The study will follow Anglican Catholic Faith and Practice. The book can be purchased by contacting Heli at APA (706/546-6910) or in class during the first session.
Who should attend? Well, the class is open to all, but intended primarily for adults desiring to be confirmed/received or still deciding. It is also for any long-time members who want to increase/refresh their knowledge. I give out a list of questions at the beginning of each class that every Anglican Catholic should be able to answer. These are often the most asked questions visitors will have when looking seriously at our Church. I’ll post a copy of these along with the class syllabus on the bulletin board and on our website.
